Daralyn Hollenbeck spent the weekend feeding, bathing and reading to her energetic grandchildren. Between kisses and hugs she played with them outside, took them for a walk and put them to bed. She took over and played mom to her grandchildren for a few hours to give her daughter-in-law Amber Hollenbeck, 27, a break.

All of the household and parenting responsibilities are on Amber now that her husband and Daralyn's son, Josh Hollenbeck, 29, is deployed in Iraq.

Twice a month Daralyn and her husband Greg Hollenbeck drive almost four hours to the Fairchild Air Force Base where Amber lives to help with the children.

The visits give Amber time to run errands and simply recharge or be alone with her thoughts. Having her in-laws support has been a blessing while caring for Kaden, 7, Easton, 3, and Brooke, 18 months, Amber said.

"I do lean on her a lot because I don't have my mom," Brooke said while holding back tears. "I don't know if I could do it without her."

Daralyn and Greg have also lended a hand to their daughter Holly Nelson, 25, whose husband Tim Nelson, 26, got back from deployment last month. Holly, who has a son, Cian, 23 months, also lives on the base.
